This morning, thanks to Sheriff Apple, the Albany County Inmate Workforce was in the neighborhood cleaning Myrtle from Yolles Contemplation Park to Grand and Grand from Myrtle to Van Zandt. The crew did an awesome job even cleaning out the stairwells of abandoned buildings. Also thank you City of Albany Department of General Services for picking up the trash bags after the clean-up. They will be back on August 5th to do another cleaning. Together we can make our neighborhoods and our streets better A Block at a Time.
I even found some boards to cover up the stairwell at 69 Grand Street so it could not be filled up with trash again. The crew shoveled 4 construction bags worth of trash from under the stairs.
